| Customer Reviews: excellent upgrade to attic insulation February 13, 2008 C. Morgan 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This was worth every penny. The difference it has made to the heat loss in my hallway is tangible. I added some R-17 glassfibre to the outside, which helped even more.

Does everything I hoped it would. Easy to put in and worth the money. Made a big difference in the cold that was escaping.
Know what you're buying first then you decide. The jury's out on this one. November 27, 2008 S. Dennis (Hillburn, NY) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Understand what you're buying. The least expensive attic stair cover is just a large cardboard (not particularly sturdy) box that fits over your attic opening. It's like a book or folder box that you fold and tuck. They also send you old-looking weather-stripping to put down first. Between adding the cardboard box to the top of my stairs (which ripped, by the way while trying to adjust it) and the extra insulation I added against the walls to my bedroom, my attic is better sealed. I paid about $49 delivered on 11-26-08. Was it worth it and could I have done something better? I don't know - $50 for cardboard - IF it lasts more than three years - is a fine investment. If it falls apart when I move it frequently in my small attic, it's money down the sewer.
