Energy (Money!) Saver December 7, 2008 Robert C. Green (Austin, TX USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I purchased the fluidics showerhead after reading reviews from other sources and it's everything they say it is. I actually like it better than my old 2.5 gpm showerhead, and it's saving me money to boot.
This uses about a 3rd less water than the 2.5 gpm showerhead that came with the house, which if you consider a 15 minute shower is about 13 gallons of water per shower. Compound this daily and its about 5000 gallons of water saved per year per person.
Originally my wife thought she wouldn't want one in her bathroom since she thought it would be detrimental to her showering habits, but now she uses my shower to much, so I'm back to buy another one, this time for her shower. Kudos on super saver shipping since it makes this an easy task.
Works for me! February 17, 2009 jlogant 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have low water pressure, so I was skeptical. However, glad I bought it. Shower is great, it saves hot water/money, and I can't tell the difference between my old 2.5 and this one. In fact, I like it better! No one knows it uses less water, so no one is complaining, which is always a good thing!
Great Product May 20, 2009 Al (Pennsylvania) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Excellent product! This shower head fools you into believing it's using a lot more water than it really is. The water dispersion feels like a pleasing rain. Bought one to test and then ordered three more!
Great shower head August 29, 2009 mstove (Wisconsin) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We purchased this shower head for our cabin earlier this summer. We had limited hot water and wanted a low flow model. This shower head gave a great shower using little water. We liked it so much we ordered two more for our showers at home.
Our main house is on a well with an aging pressure tank. Because of that the flow comes and goes on long showers. This shower head evens that out and makes it much, much better. It even got rid of the whine from the diverter that came from the alternating water pressure.
Great shower head. Never thought one of these would make so much of a difference. Never really thought about shower heads at all before.
WHISPER QUIET! November 14, 2009 Thundersinspring (Boston, MA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Don't hesitate. Outstanding shower experience with 1.6 GPM! I originally had a 5 GPM head. I rent rooms, and was getting KILLED on my water and gas bill. I switched a few years ago to one of those cone shaped heads from HD which dropped consumption in half (2.5 GPM). I HATED USING IT THOUGH! SO STINKING NOISY, IT TOTALLY STRESSED ME OUT EVERY TIME I SHOWERED. IT WAS DEAFENING. When someone else would shower late at night, it would thunder through the entire house and even wake me up from sleep. Instead of showering being a relaxing experience, it was now the opposite. Also, it was annoyingly abrasive, with too much pressure, almost stingy. MORE: it froze me to death. Because the water came out practically as a mist, it seemed to lose all heat content. I had to run the shower much hotter than I used too, just to feel comfortable. NOT ANYMORE. This head really does deliver droplet size. You feel WET, not like you are going through a misty, hectic car wash. It is gentler, and WHISPER SILENT which fits my style nicely. It's so quiet, I can't even tell when someone else is in the shower! If you have very low pressure, you may want to try the Delta 2.5 GPM version. My pressure is outstanding in my town, so the Alson 1.6 GPM works fine. Because it uses SO LITTLE WATER, sometimes I find the lower parts of my legs feel a bit 'lonely'. That is the only criticism I can find. If you are very tall, or large, you may just feel you want a little more volume, and want to try the Delta 2.5 version. But, if you lean more toward cost savings, and being cheap (like me) you should really enjoy this head. No problem washing off soap. If you have good pressure and savings and sound are important DO NOT HESITATE.
