| Customer Reviews: Reliable May 17, 2010 A. Williams (Ellensburg, WA USA) I have several of these, including some that I've had for at least five years. All continue to work flawlessly. I have used two other brands that are much less reliable. I live in a very dry climate, and if a timer fails when I'm on vacation, I lose plants. I trust these.
DIG controller October 13, 2009 Nathan (Oviedo, Florida United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased the DIG Model 7001 several years ago (since superceded by newer versions) and it has worked flawlessly. I have only needed to replace the 9v battery so far. I am using it for 1/4in. drip and micro-irrigation and even standard sprinkler/sprayers on 1/2in. irrigation line. As a stand-alone system running off my shallow well pump, it works perfect as supplemental irrigation to my flowers and ornamentals.
One-season timer August 22, 2009 Delores M. Lucero (Riverside, CA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased three of these timers in 2008. They were easy to program and worked well during the first season in my drip system. In the second season they started failing one by one and are now useless. The problem is incomplete opening. I've taken them apart and cleaned them, but it doesn't help. The tech I spoke to at the company was friendly and said that they would replace all of the timers.
Dribbles June 25, 2006 L. M. Hileman (Apple Valley, CA United States) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
Used in a drip-watering application, the valve opening is evidently too small to permit enough flow to sustain the 15-psi minimum required for the drippers
