The Easiest Timer Ever January 12, 2009 Juanita A. Floyd (Leesburg, Virginia) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
As a landscaping contractor, I get to use a lot of timers on various irrigation projects. This is the easiest ever for hooking up to a hose. I buy these for my clients to use because they are foolproof.
Vacation Plant Saver ... IT WORKS August 9, 2009 Dicky D. Griffin (Hastings, Nebraska United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It works great ... Very simple to use ... The only problems we had were not reading the directions. Make sure the battery leads are plugged in and give it the 10 seconds noted in the directions to reset when you change settings ... The first one worked so well we purchased a second timer.
Great product August 19, 2009 Paul (Louisiana) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Well made, resistant to the moisture intrusion that has been a problem with other timers I've tried, very simple to install and set.
Great product! May 22, 2010 Kathleen M. Straub (Chandler, Az USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Although we've never used a hose timer before, I carefully read all the reviews before purchasing this one. It has not disappointed! It works exactly as it's described, and we haven't had any problems with it at all. We've had it set up for about a month, and we haven't had to change the 9Volt battery yet. We DID have to do some adjusting to the water flow from the hose for the 1st few days, but once we found the right flow rate, it works perfectly. We recommend it HIGHLY.
Probably the Easiest Automatic Timer to Set June 15, 2006 Frank Landers (MA) 36 out of 36 found this review helpful
The Claber 15 Pre-Set Cycle Water Timer seems very well made and is extremely easy to use. However, I'm not sure I would've purchased the unit had I known what the actual pre-set times were. (I like to water 30 minutes in the morning and 30 in the night.) I did extensive online research to find them (including visiting the Claber web site), and nowhere is the watering times listed. So - here for your enlightment are the 15 pre-set watering times:
1. 2 minutes, every 6 hours
2. 5 min, 6 h
3. 2 min, 12 h
4. 5 min, 12 h
5. 10 min, 24 h
6. 5 min, 24 h
7. 15 min, 24 h
8. 30 min, 24 h
9. 60 min, 24 h
10. 90 min, 24 h
11. 30 min, 48 h
12. 60 min, 48 h
13. 60 min, 72 h
14. 90 min, 72 h
15. 120 min, every week
Several final notes - I have high water pressure and I tried to use a Gilmour 9400 water timer - it didn't work but so far the Claber has. Also, there is no manual override to water immediately- in other words, I can't press a button to have it water right then without losing my programmed watering times. (Gilmour could do this.) However, to set the timer all I have to do is rotate the switch - it simply couldn't be easier.
